SyKnese Fields is a poet, blogger and a local television news producer in the Kansas City area.
SyKnese began writing poetry at age 11 after a language arts assignment. Her teacher, Beth Stickney saw potential in her work and began entering SyKnese's poems into national contests. At 14, SyKnese began doing open mics around the Kansas City area. Despite having a relationship with Christ, her work never focused on Christianity. That changed in 2014 when the Lord gave her the words and inspiration for the poem, "Virgin Love." SyKnese realized then that her gift was always meant for His glory.
At 20 years old, SyKnese graduated from Wichita State University with a BA in Communications. She went on to work for a local television news station in Saginaw, Mich. SyKnese currently works as a TV news producer in Kansas City, Mo. She has earned three regional Emmy Awards and two first place Kansas Association of Broadcasters Awards.
